Madden 23 Patch Notes: Franchise Bugs May Finally Be Fixed
New Madden 23 patch notes for the October 13 "Title Update 3" have been revealed, and it's the game's biggest patch yet. It comes after weeks of pleas from the game's fanbase for EA to fix the game across several areas and modes. On-field changes to blocking, rushing, and more are included, as well as cosmetic updates like adding more player likenesses and fixing a common jersey bug that plagued some locker room story segments in some modes. However, the most important fix seems to be included as well; Madden Franchise mode might finally be fixed.
Among a long list of other fixes, it's mentioned that Title Update 3 fixes "a disconnect issue that was impacting a high volume of users in Franchise and Face of the Franchise." EA Tiburon goes on to say that this bug "was leading to issues with losing progress due to being disconnected, and users unable to progress in Face of the Franchise at contract negotiation points."
Though time will soon tell if this patch has cured all instances of this bug, it should undo at least some of the damage done over the last several weeks. Madden 23 Franchise players have been campaigning with hashtags and EA forum posts, begging the team to #FixMaddenFranchise as the game was routinely failing to save final scores, depth chart adjustments, processed trades, and was even known to revert leagues back in time by several in-game weeks, such as rewinding from the regular season to the preceding NFL Draft. In short, it's been a mess. But today's full patch note details seem to address many of the game's biggest flaws.
Alongside the quality-of-life fixes, this patch also kicks off Madden 23's second season of content in modes like Ultimate Team. New challenges, like the annual Most Feared player cards seen every October, as well as a new Field Pass that includes a 94 OVR Deion Sanders, are on the way with this title update. You can find both the fixes and the new content waiting for you to play (or first install) today. Check out the full patch notes straight from EA below.
