Its a funny sort of event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this month, with series staples Cyrus and Reese returning to celebrate their anniversary in a month-long event. Its wedding season, where the two Alpacas take center stage in a photo-oriented challenge that will go all month long. To start it, you need to got Harvs Island, where Cyrus and Reese are waiting to recreate their wedding photos, but Harv hasnt exactly gotten anything together. So the two want you to help them out, and take the photos as well, presumably because Harv is wicked creepy.

Each time you visit, youll be given a different scene to recreate, like the ceremony or the reception. Youll be able to use any of the furniture from your catalog to get the job done, but if you want to please the happy-ish couple, youll want to lean heavily on special pink and white pieces that Cyrus has made for the event.

Its not all that difficult to figure out: if its the reception, throw some tables and chairs down. If its the ceremony, get some pews going. The hanging rose decorations are handy for any situation, it would seem. Youll also get a color theme, which youll want to adhere to. Reese will ask you to take some pictures, ideally taking yourself out of frame. Once youve done so, shell judge the last picure on the roll.

When youre finished, Reese will tell you if you did a good job or not. If you were successful, shell give a piece of furniture as well some Heart Crystals that you can trade with Cyrus for any of the items that you could use in this scene. You get more crystals depending on how much she likes your photo, and the maximum appears to be 15.

Youll need to return for several days to get access to all the rewards, but eventually youll be able to get all of these things:

There are a few more items with special requirements: you get the Cyrus and Reese photo plate for completing six days, if for some reason you want that thing. You get the DIY recipe for the wedding fence from Harvey on the seventh day, which is actually a pretty neat little item. And you get the wand from Cyrus on the seventh day. That should be all you need to finish the event, unless youre going truly maximalist.

And thats it: its a pretty straightforward event, but one that might get you to engage with Harv and Photopia in a way that you havent before: I hadnt visited since the initial tutorial section, but who knows, maybe Ill be back. One thing I definitely like here is how it encourages you to go back day after day, unlike the Stamp Rally which just had the same rewards every time.
